My name is Char ('Shar') and I'm just another enby on the internet.

I have a million hobbies as just as many projects. I spend my spare minutes reading, playing games, watching anime or visiting with friends and oogling cars. I'm a self proclaimed jack-of-all-trades, master of none. I have to constantly be busy or I'll make up new projects to make myself busy haha.
Currently working on my 2026 year-end zine (zine page is still WIP) and trying out neocities.

Last year I kept coming across classic video game magazine ads and covers and almost halfway through the year decided I wanted to try and reclaim some of that nostalgic magazine aesthetic for myself.
Thus, DRIN2 mag was born. A creative project to flex my self-taught writing, graphic design and artistic abilities.

DRIN2 is my yearly zine, but I wanted to make something that didn't take a year to make and didn't just feature myself.
Nostalgist mag contains short stories from childhood memories along with two page spreads of art from beloved video games.
Both of these zines are free to download and enjoy! More zines are coming soon!

Being largely fed up with how the small wing at the back of the car was looking, I decided to look into some
paint and see if I couldn't get a match for the car's original color. The cost of the primer and a spray-can of paint with the factory
color, came to much less than I was expecting. Nice.
After a lot of sanding and help and guidance from my dad the wing was finally
ready for primer and paint. Ideally you'd do this in an airtight area where dust can't settle on the surface but we took a
bit of a lazy route and opted to just hang it from the ceiling of the garage and moniter anything that landed on it. Two coats of primer
later and it was ready for paint. Dad stepped back and let me do the whole primer/painting process.
All in all there are a few spots where it's not perfect
but you can't see them at a glance and it'll only be something I notice anyways. The wing is nice and shiny now with single-stage paint! I can't wait to
get the hood painted up now!

My parents decided to get me a little something for the car for my birthday in March.
Wheel center-caps. The old ones were either half torn off, missing or just generally looked like crap. I was so happy to get
these new ones that say 'S' on them like the back of the car! Had a bit of a hiccup with them not staying on just right but
after a little extra cutting and adhesive I think they're finally on there for the long haul. I plan on getting new rims and
tires in the future but that's a much more expensive endevour than I'm willing to commit to at the moment.

Got the windshield replaced. The one that I bought the car with had a huge crack
that ran all the way across the bottom of the windshield. Not enough to impede a driver visually but annoying enough
for me to want to get it replaced as soon as I could. GG insurance.

Got a new headlight that matched the clear one that had been previously replaced off ebay. The factory headlight was
yellowing and didn't match the clear driver's side one at all. Unfotunately the replaced headlight has also started to yellow
even though it's the same type as the driver's side.

Bought my first car, well, the first car I've ever insured on my own completely. A 2004 Mini Cooper S. 6-speed
manual with 163hp at 6000RPM. A supercharged 'hot-hatch' of a car that feels like driving a modern go-kart on the street.
Bought it off the original owner and it was a little rough seeing as it sat for a while but overall a good, fun car!
Her name is Marin after the Saint Seiya character because of the red, black and chrome/silver that shows up in certain official art.
